| Q. how much can I borrow? |
A. We can arrange finance from £5,000 to £2,000,000 on a personal secured loan, re-mortgage or mortgage to purchase a property. Repayments can be spread from 5 years to 30 years. Fixed Rate or Interest Only plans are available and the money can be used for almost any purpose.
The amount you can borrow will depend on a number of factors, we will always endeavour to offer the amount requested, where this differs a full explanation will be given.
If you change your mind over the amount you require or the term of the loan don't worry, a phone call or e:mail is all it takes for new papers to be issued. |

| Q. when is my first payment due? |
A. The first payment usually falls due one month after your cheque is released, repayments are normally by Direct Debit. |

| Q. what if I want to repay my loan or mortgage early? |
A. Your loan or mortgage may be repaid in full at any time, there is no long term commitment. The loan or mortgage papers we will send you will state the terms of early settlement but if you are unsure please contact us. |

| Q. will my payments be made if I am off sick or made redundant? |
A. Accident/Sickness/Redundancy and in some cases Life Insurance is available for most applicants, select cover required on the application for more details. This can provide you and your family with the protection you need in these uncertain times.
We offer information only with no advice on products from a single insurer, allowing you to make your own informed decision. Full details of the insurance will be sent to you on receipt of your application. It is important you make sure the cover meets your needs. If you opt not to take the insurance you must be confident monthly repayments will be met in the event of any incapacity.

A. Once your application is received it is processed immediately and acceptance in principle confirmed, usually the same day. A loan agreement will be sent to you confirming the transaction details. Where the amount is under £25,500 a copy agreement will be sent with the original following on in 8 days time for you to sign. If our loan or mortgage offer differs from the amount applied for it will represent the best terms we have available given your circumstances at this time. Accompanying the offer will be a request for any items we require to complete the loan. Once you have signed and returned the agreement along with the required items there is little more you need to do. We will arrange for your cheque to be with you as soon as possible. Your money is usually available within 10-20 working days and is normally paid to you by cheque. Any current mortgage arrears will be deducted from your cheque and paid directly into your mortgage account to bring it up to date. We are usually paid a commission for arranging your loan, in cases where we are not or where the amount of commission is reduced a fee may be added to the basic loan. You will always be informed before signing your agreement how much the fee will be and the repayment we quote will always include any fee that may be added.

| Q. how do I check the progress of my application? |
A. You can track your application on the internet by logging on to www.ghl.cc click on the CUSTOMER LOGIN icon and enter your customer code and post code. Alternatively ring your assigned Customer Account Manager any time between 9.00am and 5.15pm. |

| Q. will my application be handled with speed and efficiency? |
A. When applying for a loan you need to be sure you are dealing with a company you can trust. We started business in 1971 making us probably the most experienced broker in the country having long established connections with all the main lending institutions. All our staff are highly trained and their aim is to make sure your application is processed efficiently with the minimum fuss. Customer service is our priority, if you ring during office hours you will be able to speak directly to your named Customer Account Manager who will see your application through to completion. When ringing, your call will be answered within 5 rings, you will not be held waiting in a queue or have to deal with a tedious touch tone automated service. You can apply safe in the knowledge that we are members of the Finance Industry Standards Association (FISA) who are the self regulating body of finance brokers. We are also independently authorised by the Financial Services Authority to arrange mortgage business. Both organisations have strict regulations to which we abide with and we take great pride in ensuring transparency to you the customer in the way we go about our business. |
